My work is influenced by a uniquely diverse and broad range of materials. I am just as enthralled by post-apocalyptic science fiction as I am by occult fantasies and human myths. What unites these influences and all the ones in between, is the desire to express complex narratives that investigate the human experience. I choose to do this through illustration, primarily in the form of comics.
Heavily inspired by the dark and dynamic independent comics of the early 90’s, I use high contrast and the over-exaggeration of form to create images that guide the reader through a visual narrative. Frenetic penciling and experimental use of inking techniques allow me to create energetic scenes that display a sense of motion and engage with the reader on multiple fronts. Through the traditional study of classic art and the constant desire to innovate upon the comic medium, my goal is to create immersive stories that both excite and challenge the reader. Above all else, I simply hope to create experiences that readers enjoy and will never forget.
